Jeremy grew up playing sports and excelled in high school football. A devastating knee injury ended that career, and he developed a rather sedentary lifestyle over the next couple of decades. In his late 30s, feeling out of shape after the birth of his 4th child, he turned to running and then triathlons to get in shape.
After completing an Ironman, he sought out Crossfit as a way to get stronger on the bike and long runs. He discovered a way to gain true fitness, not just strength and long distance cardio, but every facet of fitness, and fell in love with the journey and competing against himself daily.
Jeremy studied Kinesiology in college before switching to an IT related degree, receiving his bachelor's degree from UNT. He has been married to his wife Shelly for 19 years and they have 4 children. While in college he was a certified fitness trainer with the ISSA. Jeremy is now a Crossfit Level 1 Trainer, and in addition to coaching at Crossfit Denton, also coaches a homeschool enrichment program fitness class for middle and high school boys twice a week. He is humbled and excited to become a better coach and to help people from all backgrounds and fitness levels achieve success.
