Come work your positions, speed and power in the Olympic-style weightlifting movement (snatch, clean, jerk)! These 75 minute classes center around technique work, but also include core training and raw strength development. Classes are open and free of charge to CFD members -- no prior experience required. Opportunities to compete in USAW and local events are also available.
Weightlifting meets Monday and Thursday Evenings from 7:00-8:15pm, and Saturday Mornings from 10:00-11:15am.
Body control, core strength, and joint stability are paramount for fitness gains and injury prevention. Gymnastic skill class focuses on these things through techniques on the parallettes, rings, and floor. All techniques are taught through progressions, and are suitable for all levels, including novice.
Classes meet on Tuesday Evenings from 7:00-8:00pm.
Cardio lovers (or haters, who want to improve!) -- come work your engine on the rower and assault bike. Classes seek to develop not only your aerobic capacity through longer duration work, but also power production with interval sprint work. We hone our technique as well, be it your row stroke or running stride.
Classes meet on Wednesday Evenings from 7:00-8:00pm, and Saturday Mornings from 10:00-11:00am.
